Is it the highly competitive admission criteria,
is it the dedication of the staff and faculty
or is it the post NED Life of NEDians? How can
we explore and exploit the rich history and heritage
of one the oldest institution in the subcontinent
to make NED better? Remembering pleasant memories
of our lives in NED, the Student activities like
welcome parties, Annual Functions, Industrial

Beyond
Engineering - People
with advanced degrees in fields of science and
engineering often go beyond their areas of training.
Many have pursued professions in Creative Arts,
Finance and other Non-Engineering areas. In the
Beyond Engineering Panel discussion we will meet
several such NEDians. Why did they make this transition?
Does their engineering training help them in their
chosen professions? Did they enter engineering
programs because our education system treats engineering
degrees as a status symbol? Given the choice again,
would they choose a different degree program?
How does the Right and Left brain live in harmony?
What can we learn from women engineers who clearly
go beyond engineering by working in technical
positions and simultaneously raise a family
giving start-ups a new meaning
