Rashad Ali

Rashad Ali is Founder and CEO of FiiVeo Inc. a startup focused on developing solutions to address the convergence of Communications and Media industries. Rashad is a wireless industry veteran with more than 15 years of experience, and has proven entrepreneur track record of creating business values from concept to execution in Wireless/Telecommunications infrastructure.

Prior to FiiVeo Rashad was Founder/VP Product Management of Mavenir Systems Inc. where he headed the company strategy, and product execution plan to address Mobile Operator's needs for the emerging IMS (IP multimedia services) networks; to date Mavenir Systems has raised over $30M from leading venture firms.

Prior to Mavenir Systems Rashad led IPmobile Inc. as a founder and executive from the company's conception to a successful $425M acquisition by Cisco Systems. Following the acquisition by Cisco, Rasahd led marketing and product management for their newly created mobile wireless group, including development of Cisco's broader mobile strategies. Over the years, Rashad gained experience through various management and engineering roles across Nortel, Ericsson and Network Access Corp. Rashad has worked extensively in defining the market and technology needed for large mobile operators, including Sprint PCS, T-Mobile, Vodafone, O2, Bellsouth, Singtel, British Telecom and Telstra, during their early days of 2G deployments and IMS expansions.

Rashad strongly supports entrepreneurial ventures in the Dallas area as TIE charter member and partnership in an early stage venture capital firm, Aether Partners. Rashad has served on the board of Taral Networks, now Airwide Networks, until it's acquisition of Schlumberger's messaging business unit. Rashad holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from N.E.D. Engineering University and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from University of Kansas.
